Come on in, the doors are open!

Dear paddlers,


While New Zealand’s borders are open there have been some restrictions to certain countries, those will now be lifted and the borders will be fully open from 31st July 2022. That means NO restrictions at all.


Visitors will be able to apply to enter New Zealand from anywhere in the world from midnight 31st July 2022 (NZ time).


No Covid-19 pre-departure testing is required when flying to New Zealand after 31st July 2022.

Great to see many routes coming back to NZ:

  • Air NZ will start flying directly to New York in September (Postponed from 2020)

  • Air NZ is ramping up its Trans-Tasman schedules from July, resuming flights to Cairns, Adelaide and Hobart

  • Air NZ Flights to Chicago to resume from October

  • Air NZ Flight to Island flights to Honolulu, Tahiti and New Caledonia to resume in July

  • Air Canada will be resuming its seasonal Auckland to Vancouver route this summer

  • Hawaiian Airlines will resume the Auckland to Hawaii route this July

  • Latam (Lan Chile) has resumed services to NZ in March

  • Aircalin flights to Noumea to resume in May

  • Air Tahiti Nui flights to Papeete to resume in May

  • Air Vanuatu fights to Port Vila to resume in July

  • American Airlines to resume Los Angeles route in November

  • Cathay Pacific resuming Hong Kong route in June

  • Qantas and Jetstar will increase flights from May.
